Our complete collection of Grand Prix racing rope
is the best place to shop if you want the same high-performance lines that have been used in all the major racing programs, including the America's Cup. This variety includes rugged New England Ropes Dyneema Chafe Sleeve, available in three sizes, that is commonly used as chafe sleeve for halyards, but can also be used for sheets, guys and strops. Dyneema line is known for being very tough and abrasion-resistant, and this style offers excellent tapering for halyard ends. Choose New England Rope's HTS-78 Grand Prix line if you need a Dyneema rope that floats and has UV resistance.
For a Dyneema braid with low stretch, we offer New England Ropes Endura Braid featuring a 12-strand Dyneema core and Marine-Tech coating. Together, these specs provide a very high strength-to-weight ratio with very low stretch and creep. You can use coated braided core for applications such as tapered sheets and halyards plus all running rigging that requires a durable, low-stretch line. For the highest strength-to-weight ratio line available - 40 percent stronger than Spectron 12 - then you want to consider Amsteel Blue by Samson. This torque-free, single-braid rope offers the same strength as steel, and it floats!
